A poll year and the budget dont go hand-in-hand. Chidambram proved it once again. A hugely populist budget ready to put the breaks on our growth.
Huge relief for farmers - Teaching them not to repay their loans as some govt or the other will come and clear them. Is this the solution to our slow growth in the agricultural sector???
Who will pay the deficit of Rs 60,000 crores?? It is us who will have to shell out this amount from our hard earned money. Giving to the poor sections is not what I am against, what I am against is one time relief which causes a lifetime of trouble. I dont think from now on any farmer will be interested in paying back their loans.
Then again chidambram tries to woo people by the 6th pay commission and the income tax slab changes. Absolutely nothing for the industry!!!! The stock markets were hugely disappointed by the budget closing down 246 points.
Why does the finance minister want to sacrifice the platform that he has built over the last 4 years? Why does every govt. waste its 4 years of effort by giving a populist budget in the poll year? Who is at fault??
Now this maybe a little in the face. Yes, its you and me who base our votes on the recent work by the govt and not the work done by the govt over the past 5 years. "The fin minister raised the taxes this year, I am voting for a change". This is the real you and me.
